| CAUSES FLASH STEAM |
Flash steam is low-pressure steam formed when hot condensate is released from a higher pressure to a lower pressure within steam system
1. When hot condensate is discharged into a lower pressure environment, its total energy remains the same.
2. At this point saturation point (temp at which condensate can exist in both liquid & gaseous state) of condensate drops.
3. The excess amount of energy causes part of water to evaporate and to form flash steam
