HOW DOES A WATER SOFTENER WORK?

What is water softening? Water softening is replacing of magnesium, calcium and other scale causing cations with sodium ions. What is water softener? • Water softeners are ion exchangers that are designed to remove ions, which are positively charged. • A water softener consists of a pressure vessel containing cation exchange resin. • Adsorption takes place over the surface of the resin, as the hard water passes through it. • Resin adsorbs calcium and magnesium ions and gives sodium ions which do not constitute to hardness. i.e. • Once the resin gets saturated with Ca++ & Mg++ ions, it is regenerated with NaCl to again make it ready for softening.

High Pressure Boilers with high efficiency

High Pressure Boilers These are fully water tube design boilers for high-pressure steam requirements. Water circulation through the boiler may be either natural circulation due to density difference or by forced circulation. Advantages 1.      The heat of combustion is utilized more efficiently by the use of small diameter tubes in large numbers. 2.      To avoid large resistance to the flow of water, Powertherm boilers have a parallel set of the arrangement of tubes 3.    The boiler components can be arranged horizontally, giving greater accessibility and operational convenience. 4.      All the parts are uniformly heated; therefore the danger of overheating is reduced. Also, the thermal stress problem is avoided. 5.     The tendency of scale formation is eliminated due to the high velocity of water through the boiler tubes. Can be converted to liquid/gaseous fuels as well ...

Horizontal Fired Tube Type Boilers

Horizontal Fired Tube Boilers Horizontal Fired Tube Boiler  is the conventional 3  pass smoke-tube design Oil/Gas fired steam boiler  having an internal water-cooled furnace. The superior and features make it the  Horizontal Fired Boilers  ideal choice for  process heating requirements  of the industry today.  Horizontal packaged boilers   – less site work & quick commissioning. Its capacity 1TPH to More than 10 TPH.

Condensate Recovery Module(PCRM)

condensate recovery module  is employed to come back condensate to an open-to-atmosphere assortment tank to be used as boiler make-up water, pre-heat or different hot water applications. In a pressurized condensate recovery module , recovered condensation is maintained on top of air pressure throughout the recovery method. The pressurized condensate is usually used as boiler make-up water. Since any associated flash or steam is controlled, this steam may be recovered by utilizing in applications like waste heat steam generators (that involve heat exchange) and cascade systems. Pressurised condensate Recovery Module (PCRM)  may be a distinctive system whereby the atmospheric phenomenon generated from your method is fed back struggling on to the  boiler , not like the other typical  condensate recovery system   wherever the condensate is discharged at  air pressure. Advantages      Thermodyne Boiler   PCRM ( condensate R...

Fire Tube Boilers

Dual Furnace Fired-Tube Boiler The fire-tube boiler developed because the third of the four major historical types of boilers: low-pressure tank or " haystack" boiler , flue boilers with one or 2 massive flues, fire-tube boilers with several little tubes, and high-pressure water-tube boilers . The advantage of boiler over fluid boilers with a single massive flue is that the various little tubes provide way larger heating surface area for an equivalent overall boiler volume. the final construction is as a tank of water penetrated by tubes that carry the hot flue gases from the heart. The tank is typically cylindrical for the foremost part—being the strongest sensible form for a pressurised container —and this cylindrical tank is also either horizontal or vertical. This type of boiler was used on nearly all steam locomotives within the horizontal "locomotive" kind. This encompasses a cylindrical barrel containing the fireplace tubes , however also has a...

Steam Boilers

Definition of Boiler         Steam boiler or simply a boiler is essentially a closed vessel into that water is heated till the water is regenerate into steam at needed pressure. this can be most elementary definition of boiler. Working Principle of Boiler         The basic rule of boiler terribly, is extremely very easy and simple to grasp. The boiler is actually a closed vessel inside that water is keep. Fuel (generally coal) is bunt in a furnace and hot gasses are created. These hot gasses are available in contact with water vessel where the heat of those hot gases transfer to the water and consequently steam is created in the boiler. Then this steam is piped to the rotary engine of thermal powerhouse. There are many various varieties of boiler used for various functions like running a production unit, sanitizing some space, sterilizing instrumentation, to heat up the environment etc. Steam Boiler efficiency     ...
