Heat Recovery Steam Generators or Boilers

HRSG Function The exhaust gas from the combustion rotary engine becomes the warmth supply for the Rankine cycle portion of the combined of a cycle. Steam is generated in the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The HRSG recovers the waste heat on the market in the combustion rotary engine exhaust gas.  The recovered heat is employed to generate steam at high pressure and hot temperature , and also the steam is then accustomed generate power in the steam boiler/generator. The HRSG is largely a device composed of a series of preheaters ( economizers ), evaporator, reheaters, and superheaters. The HRSG also has supplemental firing in the duct that raises the gas temperature and mass flow. This section is meant to produce rotary engine operators with a basic understanding of the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) design and operation. the facility generation block of the power produces electric power in 2 separate islands: The first island inside the combined-cycle...

Coil Types Boilers (Revosteam)

Boiler Water Treatment Chemicals Manufacturers in India

Boiler Water Treatment: Boiler water treatment chemicals are employed for generating steam. The first performance of a boiler is to transfer heat from the hot gases generated by the combustion of fuel into the water until it becomes hot or turns to steam.  Boiler feed water typically contains impurities, that impairs boiler operation and potency. As a lot of steam is gaseous, the water becomes a lot of concentrated with salts and different impurities.  These are usually Ca or Mg salts that on concentration, kind scales or deposits. These scales are terribly damaging to the boiler as a result of they interfere with the warmth transfer and might result in heating and eventually, boiler rupture.  THERMODYNE Boilers Company chemical additives will be want to correct the issues caused by these impurities. to boost feed water quality, and steam purity, these chemicals will be injected directly into the feed water or steam. Benefits of Thermody...

Water Tube Boilers

Water Tube Boilers A water tube boiler also spelled water-tube and water tube boiler may be a type of boiler in which water circulates in tubes heated outwardly by the hearth. Fuel is burned within the chamber, making hot gas that heats water within the steam generated tubes . In smaller boilers , further generating steam tubes are separate within the chamber, whereas larger utility boilers admit the water-filled tubes that structure the walls of the chamber to get steam. The heated water then rises into the steam drum. Here, saturated steams are drawn off the high of the drum. In some services, the steam can re-enter the chamber through a superheater to become superheated. Superheated steam is outlined as steam that's heated on top of the boiling purpose at a given pressure. Superheated steam may be a dry gas and thus accustomed drive turbines since water droplets will severely harm rotary engine blades. Cool water at the all-time low of the steam drum returns to t...

Heat Recovery Units(HRU)

Heat Recovery Boiler / Unit (HRU) In most cases, Boiler flue gases leave at considerable extreme temperature taking away valuable heat. This heat is recovered by putting in an easy Heat Recovery Unit (Water Pre-heater) . This heat is utilized to heat the Boiler Feed Water. By installing an easy Heat Recovery Unit, fuel consumption is generally reduced by 4 - 6 %. Each five-degree increase in feed-water temperature can offer a potency improvement of 125th. Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) may be an easy shell & tube type Heat ex-changer sized for: The volume and temperature of flue gases The pressure drop across it Fuel utilized in the boiler The quantity of warmth to be recovered Properly designed Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) has the power to cut back the fuel needs of a boiler by transferring heat from the exit flue gases to the feed water. but flue gas cooling below Sulphur dew-point isn't best for top sulfur fuels to avoid corrosion & erosion of apparatus. ...

THERMOSIPHONING

THERMOSIPHONING Thermosiphoning  is a process that utilizes basic laws of thermodynamics to create a movement of heated supply of water without the necessity of a mechanical pump. Thermosiphon  refers to a method of passive   heat exchange  based on natural convection Movement of liquid starts when a liquid in a loop is heated and become less dense Convection move heated liquid upwards in the systems and is simultaneously replaced by cooler liquid returning by gravity Thermosiphoning  is used for circulation of  liquids & volatile gases  in  heat pumps, water heaters, Steam boilers and furnace  etc.

What Happens When We Use Boiler At Higher Altitude

A boiler designed to generate 5000 kg/hr steam for & at,100-degree Celcius at mean sea level will not give the same quantity of steam if shifted to an elevated place.  It will give less steam . Due to decreased air density at higher altitude, it will consume the same volume of air but will not consume the same mass of air. This results in  less fuel consumption & less steam generation rate. Due to the reduction of mass flow of gases through tubes of a boiler, convective heat transfer also decreases which further results in  reduced evaporation rates. Combustion is a process which needs the constant air supply for its survival, but as we move up the earth i.e. at higher altitudes, things aren’t the same as they used to be at sea level. The oxygen content in the air reduces exponentially. Unlike human body, a Steam Boiler doesn’t acclimatize itself to this shortage. Though the Blower provides the same volume of air the reduced density of air (oxygen to...

Do You Want To Know What Steam Boiler Is?

A steam boiler is a device used to create steam by applying heat energy to water. Although the definitions are somewhat flexible, it can be said that older steam generators were commonly termed steam boiler and worked at low to medium pressure (1–300 psi or 6.895–2,068.427 kPa) but, at pressures above this, it is more usual to speak of a steam generator. Source – Wikipedia   Purpose of steam boilers For generating power in steam engines or steam turbines In process industries for various processes. For heating the buildings in cold weather and for producing hot water for hot water supply Primary requirements of a steam boiler The water must be contained safely The steam must be safely delivered in the desired condition (as regards its pressure, temperature, quality and the required rate Boiler terms Shell : Consists of one or more steel plates bent into a cylindrical form and welded together. The shell ends are closed with end plates Grate/ Bed...

What Happens When We Use Boiler At Higher Altitude

A boiler designed to get 5000 kg/hr steam for & at,100-degree Celcius at mean water level won't offer a similar quantity of steam if shifted to an elevated place. it'll provide less steam. Due to reduced air density at higher altitude, it'll consume a similar volume of air however won't consume a similar mass of air. This leads to less fuel consumption & less steam generation rate. Due to the reduction of mass flow of gases through tubes of a boiler, convective heat transfer also decreases that more leads to reduced evaporation rates. Combustion could be a method that desires the constant air provide for its survival, however as we move up the world i.e. at higher altitudes, things aren’t a similar as they used to be at sea level. The oxygen content in the air reduces exponentially. not like body, a boiler doesn’t acclimatise itself to this shortage. Cost effective way to generate hot air from flue gases

Thermair- Hot Air Generator The current society across the globe has embraced environmental-friendly ways to   generate hot air   hence the need to use flue gas. One of the most efficient and environment-friendly ways to generate indirect heat is from flue gases .i.e.   THERMAIR – Hot Air Generator . The process of operation occurs when cold air is inserted in a hot air generator, and it absorbs heat from the flue gas passage and when cold air and flue gas are moving in different direction and eventually transferring the heat from flue gas to cold air eventually producing hot air. Hot air generator   using flue gas caters to any hot air requirement of any drier, replaces electricity and steam to   generate hot air   and the drying time and drying cost are considerably reduced therefore providing an economically cheapest clean air available instantly.   Hot air generators   are used as industrial use where hot air is required for drying or...

What is a Combi Boiler?

A   combi boiler   or combination boiler is the most commonly used boiler in India.   Combi Boiler  is a unique membrane design water wall type boiler which combines the advantages of both   water tube & smoke tube steam boilers .  A combination type of   steam boiler   is the one which has the operational characteristics of both   smoke tube and water tube steam boiler   respectively. Unlike the   packaged type Boilers , here the furnace is external to the boiler shell.  During its operation, the combustion takes place in the water wall so the flue gases from here travel in this membrane (as in a   Water Tube Boiler ) and enter the Boiler shell. Now the flue gases travel in the smoke tubes (as in a   Smoke Tube Boiler ). Combi Boiler During its course of motion, it transfers heat to the – Water present in the tubes in the Water Wall Membrane Water present in the Boiler shell through tubes ...

DRY STEAM Vs. WET STEAM

Dry steam is formed when water is heated to its boiling point   & then vaporized with additional heat. All the heat present is used in transforming water into steam therefore, no water droplets are present. Wet steam is a mixture of   steam & water containing more than 5 % water. Wet steam is formed   when a portion of its water molecules have given up their energy (latent heat) and condense to form tiny water droplets.
