INJECTOR

An injector (steam) is a device used for feeding the water into steam boiler without any pump.

USES
  •  The injector may be used to inject chemicals into the boiler drums of small, stationary & low pressures boilers
  • Injectors are used for producing a vacuum pressure in steam jet pulling system

Advantages:
  •  Simplicity
  •  Compactness
  • High thermal efficiency

Disadvantages:
  • Low pumping efficiency
  • Difficulty in operation when steam pressure varies
